When you register for a Koordinates ID, we'll ask you for some identifying information, such as your name and email address. You may also provide us with personal information in the course of using our services. When you're logged in, our systems will also generate information about your use of our services.
Other than credit card details, we are the entity that will hold your personal information. We take good care of it and have systems and processes in place to protect it.
If you don't wish to provide the information we request, we may not be able to provide you with the services you're after.
We collect and retain the personal information outlined above to enable us to identify you, to provide our services to you, to provide you with support and to communicate with you in relation to your use of Koordinates.
We strictly control the disclosure of your personal information. If you purchase licenses for commercial data providers' data on Koordinates, we may provide information to those providers so they can know who is licensing their data. We may also provide information on courier orders to the holders of Koordinates Sites where those orders relate to data in those sites. And the holders of Koordinates Sites will be able to view metrics showing which Registered Users (who have logged into their sites) have accessed and downloaded data in their sites. In this context, Koordinates Site holders may have access to and retain a record of the relevant Registered Users' names and email addresses. Otherwise we do not disclose your personal information unless we need to do so to protect our or third party rights or we have to by law.
Our commercial messages to you will contain unsubscribe information so you can opt out of further receipt.
If you’re a registered user, you can change certain personal information by logging in with your Koordinates ID and clicking on the "Preferences" link. Under New Zealand law, you also have the right to access and to request correction of any of your personal information that we hold. To exercise this right, or to ask us anything else in relation to this policy, please email email@example.com.
